Today we’re highlighting an Upper Arlington favorite, Colin’s Coffee – named Upper Arlington Business of the Year in 2018. After all, a good idea starts with brainstorming, but a great idea starts with coffee!
Colin’s Coffee is Upper Arlington’s only independent coffee shop and is known for their delicious drinks and good conversation. Conveniently located on Riverside Dr. near Fishinger Rd., Colin’s Coffee is a great place to start your day and its new patio is inviting for catching up with a friend or for getting some work done.
Not only do they serve nearly any coffee concoction imaginable, but they also serve hot breakfast sandwiches on Blocks Bagels(a local Bexley favorite), scones, tomato soup & grilled cheese, and sweet mama’s scones on Wednesdays. In fact, they’re known to go out of their way to make sure they have what you’re looking for:
“I’m so excited about this coffee shop. I don’t fill out many reviews, but I really wanted to show some love for this place. The workers are so nice! They actually take time to get to know you and ensure they have what you want on their menu. I’ve been looking for a honey lavender latte off season and theirs was amazing. The grilled cheese and soup is a great lunch combo. I can’t wait to go back. This is my new favorite place.”

Colin Gawel (owner) is a Columbus musician, playing guitar and singing for the band Watershed, as well as, recording solo and with his backing band The League Bowlers. Colin is also no stranger to environmental responsibility. Earlier this year, Colin’s Coffee jumped on board with The Compost Exchange, a Columbus service that provides curbside and drop-off composting.
